It is no surprise that where there is a Catholic priest, there will be haters. Obviously some of these people don't live in the area because I have not known a priest to be as available as he is to us on his day off. If Boris, who is trying to say they are local by referring to a past parish priest, (he doesn't I checked) is openly lying because they are trying to destroy the Catholic Church in Seymour. There is a woman in that church who spends most of her time praising her own importance and belittling the parish priest and anyone who likes him. It is no surprise that there are people who say such rubbish. Check out the parish for yourself and see who is lying.
I would score a zero if I could. What a long winded, boring, blow hard of a priest. Likes the sound of his own voice. 25mins he banged on about goodness knows what coz I tuned out after 10mins. Avoid this parish if you don't want to lose half your day. Recommend you go anywhere but here.
Needs to be more welcoming..
If you like 20 to 30 minute sermons, this is the place to come. The priest likes to talk about movies, his family and his past careers. If you're lucky he will touch on the days gospel, but not always. Mass usually takes over an hour. The new secretary is such a delightful individual. If you like being spoken to with utter contempt, he is the man to talk to. But don't try to contact the priest or the secretary for dying family, funerals or pastoral help on a weekend or on a Monday. Saturday and Mondays are their days off. And the phone number doesn't work. Neither of them have a clue how to fix it. It's all fun, fun, fun at St Marys since Mons Toms retired. Not!
